Zuhayr ibn Harb and Ibn Abi 'Umar narrated to me, both from Ibn 'Uyaynah. Zuhayr said: Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from his father — may Allah be pleased with him — from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Five creatures for which there is no blame upon the one who kills them in the Sacred Precinct and in the state of ihram: the mouse, the scorpion, the crow, the kite, and the vicious dog." Ibn Abi 'Umar said in his narration: "in the Sacred Precincts and in the state of ihram."
