We were narrated by Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah, who said: Hushaym and Waki' narrated to us. He said: And Ibn Numayr narrated to us, who said: My father narrated to us. He said: And Ibn Abi 'Umar narrated to us, who said: Sufyan narrated to us. All of them, on the authority of Isma'il, in this chain of transmission, narrated something similar to the hadith of Hushaym.
