He narrated it to us: ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Muʿādh; he narrated to us: my father. (Another chain:) And he narrated to us: Ibn al-Muthannā; he narrated to us: Abū Dāwūd and ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Mahdī, all of them from Shuʿbah, with this same chain of transmission.
