And it was narrated to us by 'Amr al-Naqid, who said: narrated to us Mu'awiyah ibn 'Amr, who said: narrated to us Za'idah, from Hisham, who said: 'Urwah informed me, from 'A'ishah, that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the ritual bath due to major impurity (janabah), he would begin by washing his hands before putting his hand into the vessel, then he would perform ablution (wudu') like his ablution for prayer.
