Zuhayr ibn Harb narrated to us, Jarir narrated to us, from al-A‘mash, from Abu al-Duha, from Masruq, from ‘A'ishah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did something and granted a concession regarding it. News of this reached some of his Companions, and it was as if they disapproved of it and held themselves aloof from it. When this reached him, he stood up as a speaker and said: "What is the matter with men to whom news of a matter reached, for which I granted a concession, and they disapproved of it and held themselves aloof from it? By Allah, I am the most knowledgeable of them concerning Allah and the most fearful of them of Him."
