And Muhammad ibn Rafi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from Hammam ibn Munabbih, who said: This is what Abu Hurayrah narrated to us, from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Then he mentioned hadiths, among them: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Every wound a Muslim receives in the path of Allah will come on the Day of Resurrection in the same condition as when it was inflicted, gushing with blood — its color the color of blood, and its scent the scent of musk." And the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "By Him in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, were it not that I would burden the believers, I would not remain behind any expedition that goes out to fight in the path of Allah. But I do not find the means to carry them, nor do they find the means to follow me, and it would not be pleasing to their souls to remain behind after me."
