Narrated to us Abdullah ibn Maslamah ibn Qa'nab and Qutaybah ibn Sa'id, they said: narrated to us al-Mughirah—meaning al-Hizami—(H) and narrated to us Zuhayr ibn Harb and Amr al-Naqid, they said: narrated to us Sufyan ibn Uyaynah, both of them from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said—and in the hadith of Zuhayr: conveying it to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him—and Amr said: as a narration—"The people are followers of Quraysh in this matter; their Muslims follow their Muslims, and their disbelievers follow their disbelievers."
