And it was narrated to us by ʿAbd ibn Ḥumayd, who said: we were informed by ʿAbd al-Razzāq, who said: we were informed by Maʿmar, from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUrwah, from ʿĀʾishah, who said: Hind came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, "O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, there was no people of a tent on the face of the earth more beloved to me than that Allah should humiliate them than the people of your tent, and there was no people of a tent on the face of the earth more beloved to me than that Allah should honor them than the people of your tent." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "And likewise, by the One in Whose hand is my soul." Then she said, "O Messenger of Allah, indeed Abū Sufyān is a miserly man, so is there any sin upon me if I spend on his family from his wealth without his permission?" The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "There is no sin upon you if you spend on them in a reasonable manner."
