We were narrated by Ishaq ibn Ibrahim: informed us al-Nadr ibn Shumayl and Abu 'Amir al-'Aqadi — and (also) we were narrated by Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna: narrated to us Wahb ibn Jarir — all of them on the authority of Shu'bah, with this same chain of transmission. In the narration of Wahb ibn Jarir: "Then the verse of the fixed inheritances (al-fara'id) was revealed." And in the narration of al-Nadr and al-'Aqadi: "Then the verse of the obligation (al-fard) was revealed." And in none of their narrations is the statement of Shu'bah to Ibn al-Munkadir.
