And Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, saying: 'Affan narrated to us, saying: Wuhaib narrated to us. (Another chain:) And Hajjaj ibn al-Sha'ir narrated to us, saying: 'Amr ibn 'Awn narrated to us, saying: Khalid informed us. Both of them (narrated) from 'Amr ibn Yahya with this chain of transmission, and they both said: "So they will be cast into a river called al-Hayah (the River of Life)." And they did not express doubt. In the narration of Khalid: "just as the scum grows on the side of a torrent." And in the narration of Wuhaib: "just as the seed grows in the mud, or in the sediment carried by a torrent."
