Harmalah ibn Yahya narrated to me: Ibn Wahb informed us: Yunus informed me, from Ibn Shihab, who said: Salim ibn Abd Allah ibn Umar informed me, from his father—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, raising his voice in the talbiyah with his hair matted, saying: "Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Indeed, all praise and grace belong to You, and the dominion; You have no partner." He did not add anything beyond these words.

And Abd Allah ibn Umar—may Allah be pleased with them both—used to say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to pray two rak'ahs at Dhu al-Hulayfah. Then, when his she-camel stood upright with him at the mosque of al-Hulayfah, he would raise his voice with these words.

And Abd Allah ibn Umar—may Allah be pleased with them both—used to say: Umar ibn al-Khattab—may Allah be pleased with him—used to raise his voice in the talbiyah with the talbiyah of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, from these words, and he would say: "Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, and at Your service. All good is in Your hands. Here I am, and the seeking of favor is to You, and the deeds."
