And Shayban ibn Farrukh narrated to us, saying: Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, saying: Humayd ibn Hilal narrated to us, saying: Abu Rifa'ah said: I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was delivering the sermon. He said: So I said, "O Messenger of Allah, a stranger has come asking about his religion, for he does not know what his religion is." He said: So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, turned to me and left his sermon until he reached me. Then a chair was brought—I think its legs were of iron. He said: So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sat upon it and began to teach me from what Allah had taught him. Then he went back to his sermon and completed its end.
