Narrated to me Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna: narrated to us Ibn Abi 'Adiyy, from Shu'bah, from Sulayman, from Dhakwan, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The fornicator does not fornicate while he is a believer at the time of fornication, and the thief does not steal while he is a believer at the time of stealing, and the drinker of wine does not drink it while he is a believer at the time of drinking it. Yet repentance remains available thereafter."
